Virtual Shower and Connecting Everyone

Jordan, on June 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 4

Hello! I'm the matron of honor in a wedding that's scheduled for this fall. We decided that we will be moving the bridal shower to a virtual setting and I'm hoping you can help me figure out ideas for favors and making all of the guests feel connected and present even though everyone will be at home.

We've brainstormed a few ideas, such as sending balloons for everyone to blow up and display behind them, having candles made for everyone to light during the shower, sending flower crowns to wear, etc., but nothing feels both affordable and appropriate. The "theme" is brunch, so we will be asking everyone to bring a brunch beverage and snacks along.

For anybody who's thought of this part of the virtual shower, what have you thought about sending guests in placement of favors? Or ways to help folks feel more connected throughout the celebration?

Thank you!

I like the idea of giving everyone a champagne flute they can use to toast to the bride during the shower Smiley smile or some kind of glass. another idea would be for christmas i gave everyone these little kits where it had a tiny bottle of alcohol and a tiny bottle of mixer! like these:

Is everyone local. What you think of a drive through bridal shower so they can see the bride? Maybe get a party favor or something?

So I just did a virtual bachelorette party for my sister last month. We made custom zoom backgrounds and emailed it to everyone to match. We played some games where everyone had to make signs with their names so it was fun to have everyone help with that. We also told everyone to get pizza and wine for dinner so even tho we weren’t eating together eating the the same thing helped and the hey pass we a slice jokes were great unity. We didn’t send anything to the guests just to my sister to make her feel special, tiara sash balloons etc.

Oh I love this 😍 as a bride abroad with bridesmaids from everywhere as well, that's the only way I'd be able to do one!
It depends how local everyone is. If you could drop a favor off at their door that could work. When I asked two bridesmaids that I couldn't physically meet up with I sent one cookies and one flowers. Nowadays there's a lot you can do virtually. 😊 If you want to stick to the brunch theme maybe you could send everyone a card with brunch recipes typed up all cute? And a printed photo of them with the bride? That would help them feel connected.
