Have anyone had a wedding on Zoom, Skype, Facebook live or anything in that nature? How did it go?

We did zoom! It was relatively painless - you just have to make sure everyone gets the link before hand. We were even able to put up a virtual background of our venue. It wasn't perfect but it worked.

We had a zoom wedding on Saturday! Get everyone's email, have someone be the main POC and create a waiting room to allow the attendees in so you don't get zoom bombed. Create a little schedule, have someone record it. This is something we will never forget. We also received such positive feedback for turning lemons into lemonade and it gave everyone an excuse to get dressed up and enjoy the moment!

Where did you have the actual ceremony? Was it still at the same place you originally planned? Was anyone else actually at the ceremony besides you and the groom? Did you still have your wedding party attend? What did you have recording you for the Zoom (A phone, laptop)? Did you just do the ceremony or did you do any reception activities on Zoom like first dance or cake cutting? Please tell me what did you do and how you planned it out.

Let's see. So we didn't do too much planning really - we had just lost our furchild two weeks beforehand, so we really weren't in the planning mood. Especially since she was supposed to be part of the ceremony. At first we were going to just hold off on everything, but then we decided we didn't want to wait to be officially married. We already had our license because I'm an over planner and you can have your license for 90 days. Day of, I dressed in what was supposed to be my exit dress, and we had my husband's best friend come to our apartment to officiate because everything was locked down. He stood in the doorway, and we had our families watch from a laptop on the counter. Our families and the wedding party all watched from the zoom party. We also did a first dance and cut a cake I ordered from Carlos bakery. All in all, it was really small and intimate but totally us. I think you can do however much or little as you want! As things open up more, you may even be able to have family there
