Vista Print Programs Not Big Enough!

HoundMama, on January 11, 2013 at 10:02 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

I'm sure this has been asked before somewhere, but I was looking on Vista Print the other day and it seems that all of their "programs" are one-sheet cards.

We are getting married in a Catholic Church and while we are not having mass there are still parts of the ceremony I need to include on the program so non-Catholics know what's going on (or coming up). I had thought maybe VP would have 5x7 folded cards, but from what I could find, they only had one 5x7 folded invitation that I can't override or edit.

What did you do if you needed more space on the program VP ladies?

Any suggestions?

Well I have the program laid out already, but it looks like the only thing that might work is using the tri-fold brochure, which I'm not sure how that would come out.

I was just SO disappointed when I found out all they had were single cards. Now I have no idea what I am going to spend my $17 on, lol! Smiley smile

I had my programs printed at Staples and used card stock for the front & back of them. I attached everything together with ribbon.

I don't have a picture of them on this computer but I will look for one.

I know Hayley had an example of how you can use a brochure for a Catholic ceremony ... you can find it here:: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/help-with-creating-programs-on-vista-print-hayley-or-anyone-pour-favor/c1983415c61d7081.html

You could also print on multiple cards and bind them together using ribbon.

I used the XL postcards for my programs -- not sure if everything you need would fit on both sides (it's approx 6 x 9). You could also try using the brochures?

If not, you can try and make a booklet out of the rack cards?

    Let me go see...

If you pick any "type" of invitation, then on the left side menu, click all designs and filter to the 5 x 7 folded, do any of those designs fit what you want for your programs?

Oh, actually, if you want just a blank template, here's how you can do it (just tried this). Pick the 5 x 7 "Upload your own design" card. Upload anything random, go to where you can customize it with text and just remove the image.

However, it seems that on the 5 x 7 invites, you can only type on the front and inside of the card, so let me see what else I can find you...

    I have made them myself on letter size paper in landscape mode folded in half (8.5 h x 11 w = 8.5 h x 5.5 w)

We had a full Catholic mass and we made our own programs. We also used folded 8.5x11 paper tied with ribbon. We had a lot of non Catholics attending the ceremony so we wanted the programs to be informative as possible. They were 4 pages.

I also had trouble finding a website to order bi-fold wedding programs from! I had a modern orthodox Jewish ceremony and the text needed definitely would not fit on one front-and-back card. I eventually found Zazzle.com which had a lot of good options for 8.5x11 inch programs that could be folded to create four 8.5x5.5 inch pages.
