Vistaprint design question, Help please!

busybride, on January 26, 2013 at 4:26 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

I am trying to design a favor label on vistaprint by adding some of their images to one of their plain white labels. I added the text and the images, but I think the white is too much of a contrast, so I tried to add a background (which they have in their image library). The background works with the text, but it just covers up the other images. How can I add a background and still see the rest of the design?

Basically I"m looking for a "send to back" type feature like you have in powerpoint. Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks!

Search for Hayley, I believe she has done it and has posts on how to do it.

Or perhaps take out your image, put in the background first, then re-add your image so hopefully it layers in that order?

I swear I thought I tried that, but I must not have because it is working. Wish I would have just done that first because I had so many little images that I had to delete and now have to re-add, but at least it is working! Thank you!

Grrr.... did you get it? Yes, you need to do background first.

Sorry, no send to back. Smiley sad

BUT they have a replace option on the drop down... so sometimes I take the first image and use the replace to change it to something else if I find I didn't layer in order.

I did, thanks. And just to double check... the little dashed line that borders the labels - that is where the sticker actually starts when you peel it off the sheet, right?

I think it is more of a safety line. They suggest you don't go outside of it incase something doesn't line up right in the printing process.

I just looked at one of mine, and I always line the rounded text lines right up to the curve of the dotted line. However, when they are printed, the words are not right on the edge of the sticker.
