VistaPrint for Thank You Cards?

The New Mrs Seedes, on August 5, 2011 at 5:32 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

I'm looking to use VistaPrint as my thank you cards. What do you ladies that frequently use VP recommend? Rack cards are for menu/programs correct? Are the postcards appropriate for a thank you or am I just in left field somewhere?

Any guidance would be great.

The rack cards are long and skinny - 3 3/4 in x 8 1/4 in - and fit into a standard "long" envelope. (you know, those security ones)

I actually used them as thank-you's for my son's birthday. I posted a picture on the front (glossy side) that they could cut out and frame, poem under it, and on the back I attached one of the 25 free magnets (maybe print out a picture for your close relatives?) and then wrote a thank you message underneath.

Another idea would be to use the 100 free postcards... again, they come glossy so it would be great if you are putting a picture on the front. You can put a general "thank you" message at the top and leave lots of space for a handwritten note.

I ordered some stuff for our DW from there - so far, it looks good. (Haven't received it all.) We plan to get thank you cards there, using photos from our wedding and travel.

I would use actual folded thank you cards for that. Vistaprint sells them. Look under "Home & Family" instead of "Business".

I am torn as to what I should do. I know I want to hand write my thank you notes. I like the personal touch that gives. I'm afraid if I do the glossy I won't be able to easily write on them. I just received a STD from a friend from VP and she did matte and I could easily write on that.

I am receiving thank you sized pictures from my photographer that I can include in my close families envelopes but I wouldn't mind just doing a picture on the actual thank you card instead.

What are some thoughts if I did a glossy front that including a picture and a general thank you but included a handwritten thank you on the back of each and every thank you? I feel that may come across cheesy...

The postcards and rack cards come free with Only the front glossy. Very easy to write on the back.

    That is perfect!

Thank you so much. I'll save this thread in my watchlist and refer back to it in a few weeks. I really like the way the three pictures look.

    Thanks Hayley.

I uploaded our monogram and ordered folded cards with envelopes from them for our Thank Yous. Very happy with them.

I think the post card is the best idea if you don't plan on mailing them as an actual post card. I would get the envelopes with them. It will look cute and personal, AND you get 100 for free, so you can't beat the price. You can also place several orders for the 10 free note cards (you can get flat or folded)...That's what I did, since we have a small guest list. I wanted a flat note card for my thank you notes that I could personalize...
