Megan, on October 15, 2013 at 12:09 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

Which is better for invitations? I can't find my vistaprint sample they sent me months ago Smiley sad Help please! I heard linen is thinner.. so leaning towards the matte cardstock.. What did you use?

Linen Finish - $13.49

The subtle, pressed texture will add an elegant touch to your cards.

Premium, 100lb. White Matte Stock - $13.99

This stock features high opacity, allowing for effective two-sided printing.

I used the linen finish for all of my VistaPrint products and was very happy with the grain/texture of the finish. However, one caveat: this isn't the easiest paper to write on. I had to buy thin Sharpie's to write notes on the linen paper thank you notes I got from VP because a ballpoint pen wouldn't work ... it was as if the ink wouldn't settled into the grain of the paper. May not be a problem for your invities since those will be printed but just FYI to others.

I love the linen paper from vista print. It's thick and textured and looks great - I used it on my invites. I also used the regular and 100lb on my RSVP cards (1/2 each) and couldn't tell the difference.

I used the cheapest one, I'm not sure which one it is, lol. But they still look good!
