Vistaprint order in and I'm a little disappointed! *UPDATE with PICS*

My save the dates are perfect! But the RSVP card color is off, and one of the images I uploaded that was supposed to be purple, is pink! So it makes my wedding colors look pink and orange!!! I'm not sure if I care enough to complain or not, but I did spend $17 on the postcards.

But since they're RSVP's they just come back to us. Should I buy a Halloween sticker and put it over it to cover it up??? Lol.

*UPDATE* Still probably won't mess with a reprint but I am a bit miffed. Here is a pic of the preview they gave me, and then the actually Save the date with the hot pink and bright orange.

And the save the date which I'm pleased with but thought was bigger so I bought bigger envelopes which may cost more to mail...

    Can you post photos? I planned to use Vistaprint for my stationary too.

    I would definitely let them know something is up with their coloring.

    Their customer service is great, so I think it's worthwhile to call them up about it. I think it sometimes has to do with their printers and whatnot. I have purple all over my stuff, and it all came out fine, so just talk to them and go from there. Smiley smile

    This happened to me over the wknd as well, the color was off but it was only done on the items that I got free. I wonder if it's intentional. lol

    I had major color issues with my one and only order from Vistaprint. I must hand it to them that their customer service is great though mostly.

    I contacted them and told them I only wanted a re-print if they could ensure that it would re-print differently. The immediately reprinted and rushed it to me so I assumed they could. It arrived exactly the same. They issued me a re-fund.

    I'd contact them but I wouldn't count on it reprinting correctly.

    VP prints with CMYK - maybe it was a RGB image?

    cyan, magenta, yellow, black

    red, green, blue

    I just know that they have on the site that if the colors are off when you upload it can be because you uploaded a color that was originally in the other format.

    They will help you out if you contact customer service. They are really helpful and polite.

    Hayley....I am so confused.

    I ordered checks and had an issue and the customer service was outstanding. I received a refund.

    @ Carole ~ it is all in the the printers.

    Is your printer a RGB ink cartridge? You can get all the colors from those 3.

    Well, VP uses a CMYK printer. So, sometimes the colors print off because they are created from a different color combo.

    It is just one of the things they have on the troubleshooting page of FAQ/issues.

    I agree, the customer service is wonderful! I received an order that was a little less than perfect (cards with dings in the corner, and a shirt where the color was off). I wasn't upset enough about it to complain, however, when they asked me to rate my products on a survey I mentioned it. Two weeks later I got a call saying they were sorry about my purchase and that they would be sending me free replacements.

    I suggest just giving them a call, I bet that they'll fix it for you : )

    The other purple on it was ok, but the one I uploaded didn't print right. I'll attribute it to their printers and call it good since they're coming back to us anyway and there's no reason to freak out of a little bit of pink. I'll go buy pumpkin stickers or something. Lol.

    1) they are uber cute.. even if the color is off.. Smiley winking love it!
    2) everyone is right, their customer service is amazing! give them a call.

    If they have to fix something, they usually get it to you a lot faster (free expedited shipping) just an FYI..

    Oh wow, that makes me a little concerned since part of my save the date will have purple, hope it comes out ok when we try! lol

    I've already contacted customer shipping about something else, I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to me to mess with it!

    Sophie, the purple and orange squares are uploaded digital scrapbook paper. I wanted it to match my other stuff! Lol. If you see the purple on the save the date (which is also uplaoded) and the text on the RSVP came out fine, so hopefully it'll be fine!

    Okay I think they turned out beautifully. I agree though if you are upset about it, call them and see what they can do. No since in that sticking in your head throughout the wedding planning process. If I was you, I would be fine with them though!

    Sidenote: I ordered many things from VP and haven't had any problems yet!

    My problem is the HOT PINK square. Nowhere in my wedding is there pink. It even looks less pink than it is in my photo. It is supposed to be dark purple!

    They are going to send out another printing to see if it is a printing issue, if it comes to me the same then I get a refund. Which still doesn't fix the issue of a hot pink square that doesn't match my wedding....

    I would call and ask for a reprint. The actual product looks very different from the proof image. The colors are way off. If you pay for something you should get what you paid for. I actually just had an issue with VP because I ordered my best friend a poster for her wedding. I paid extra for 7 day shipping and it never got there. I called them up and they ordered a new one and had it delivered next day air, plus they refunded me the shipping from the first one. I think she is still going to end up getting the first poster I ordered, so now she gets two posters. I hope the color is not off...but yes their customer service is pretty good. No questions asked they took care of it and reimbursed me the shipping without me even asking them to.

    Hopefully I can get it taken care of and it was just off for some reason. I was really excited to get them too...but am so glad I ordered way ahead of the game because I have the time and energy to deal with this sort of thing.

    Maybe upload it with a little darker purple? or a purple with a little less red?

    They wil totally reprint them and send them priority. Just click on customer service "chat" and explain it or call them. I've received 2 things reprinted for free.
