Vodka choice

Linds, on March 14, 2017 at 1:09 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 52

We're having a white cranberry cosmo for our signature drink.

Our vodka choices are Tito's, ketle one, grey goose, or absolute.

Do you care what vodka you have in a cosmopolitan, and if so, what would you pick?

Thanks!

As long as it is vodka, I don't care. I know some people do, but I really can't tell the differences in the taste among the brands.

I never really understood this since the point of vodka is that it has no taste, lol...

Most of my venues offer Tito's, Kettle One and Grey Goose.

I usually drink Tito's. Generally I don't care if it's free at a wedding though!

I prefer grey goose, but really a well vodka in a mixed drink doesn't make a big difference

#1 choice Grey Goose. However, Skyy Vodka is a close second for me.

Is there a price differential? Grey Goose and Ketel are better vodkas (especially for a straight martini), but if it is only going to be used for the Cosmo and Absolut is cheaper, I'd go with that.

I agree if its for a cosmo go with the cheaper version, straight martini's I would pick grey goose or ketel one.

Grey Goose and Ketel One will be more expensive usually, Absolut is really not that great so I would go with Tito's. It's really good (five times distilled means no hangover!) and usually a better price than the others.

I like Tito's, and I have had bad cosmos, so I think what goes in matters.

We have premium open bar, so it doesn't totally matter.

They recommended Tito's, and I don't have a total preference- so I thought it would ask the community/general population.

I'm not sure if you are providing the alcohol yourselves but, if you are, I wanted to let you in on a little secret. Costco brand Vodka is actually Grey Goose, with the costco label on it. So, if you are providing the alcohol yourselves, save yourself some money and buy it from Costco. Good Luck!!!

Those are great options you can't go wrong. As long as it isn't a low quality cheap vodka I'd be happy.

Tito's or Grey Goose if there is not up charge. Tito's is the only "lower" end vodka that doesn't give me a hangover.

I'll drink any vodka if it's free lol but I prefer Titos. We will be serving Titos at our wedding.
