My husband and I are planning a vow renewal for our 20 year anniversary. We had the big church wedding back then with the reception, bridal party, etc. For this a friend donated an event room at a hotel for us to use. We plan on having our kids be our “bridal party”. My question is do have my dad “walk me down the aisle again” or is that too much?

    It's totally up to you if you want him to walk you down Smiley smile In my opinion it's not too much.

    It's totally up to you Jen! You can incorporate whatever traditions you'd like!!

    But I do think the symbolism is definitely different! 😉 A wedding has more of a focus on you both leaving your families to start a new union, whereas a vow renewal is more about celebrating your marriage and recommitting to each other! Smiley ring

    The reason I ask is he’s 77 and a major scare with covid at the beginning of the year so I want to make as many memories as possible.


    I’m 50/50 with saying yes have him do it and no it’s too much lol

    I think that’s totally up to you. We are renewing our vows next year and I will be walking down the aisle by myself. Hubby wants to meet me halfway and walk with me the rest of the way.

    Id ask your dad if he wants to/ matters to him, and do what he wants.
