Hi! My husband and I eloped at age 19 and 20, still in college, broke of course. We didn't have a wedding, we were initially planning one but our lives got turned upside down by someone in our family getting really sick. Long story short, we will be married 7 years on June 23rd and have already started planning our vow renewal/wedding we never had. We aren't sure what to call it when we're sending out invitations, but we're doing the whole sha-bang - beautiful venue, white dress, bouquets, reception, etc. We will be skipping out on registry, bachelorette parties, etc (for obvious reasons).
My biggest question is that I'm about to send out invitations, but I don't know what I'm calling this. I want people to have the right expectations because this will be grand like a normal wedding ceremony, but we are in fact simply renewing our vows. Can someone help me brainstorm something creative to call this on our wedding invitations? I was thinking "The Wedding We Never Had" but it's so long, and it might be cringe/warrant some side-eyes.
Like I said, this will certainly feel like a wedding in its grandeur but I'm not sure what we should write on our invitations. I need to send them asap as we are only about 5.5 months out at this point.
