Vow Rough Draft

I'm not super familiar with what non-religious and personal vows should be like. I just jotted down what came to mind and am hoping for some input.

Growing up, I was never the girl who cared about getting married some day. Meeting you changed that. I fell in love with you -- with everything you are; from your subtle wit to your gentle heart, you won me over completely and indefinitely. I knew I'd be happy spending forever with you from...embarrassingly early on, honestly (but I guess I can admit that, now that it's happening!)

(FH's name), in the past five years you have brought me more joy and shown me more love than I'd have thought possible in a lifetime. As I stand here today, I promise to always do my best to give you the same. I promise to do the little things, like clear the snow off your car or try the spicy food you make, but I also promise to do the big things. I promise to communicate with you, trust in you, and yes, even compromise with you, on every step of our journey together. And I promise to tell you I love you every day, and to mean it with all my heart.
