Vows Alternatives

I have major anxiety when it comes to public speaking. I know family and close friends will attend the wedding but I want to say as little as possible. I thought of exchanging vows in private and doing the sand ceremony in exchange of saying vows, but I'm not sure how this would flow. Any ideas...what are alternatives to verbally saying your vows?

    I think you could skip the vows altogether, if you're okay with that. I've seen couples whisper vows to each other, which I thought was sweet!

    I personally think that the vows are the most important part of the ceremony. Could you do the traditional “repeat after me” vows and then your own vows in private?

    I was really nervous too. We did traditional repeat after me vows and honestly I forgot that people were watching us.

    We're doing the traditional vows. One because nerves, two because I dont let people see me mushy.

    What about giving each other your written vows before the ceremony to read in private? You could record them too! I like this idea as an alternative. A lot less nerve wracking lol!
