Vows renewal

Our wedding was postponed three times due to covid and so finally, we decided to get married legally last June, then have a vow renewal wedding “celebration” this June. I’m beyond excited! As for typical vow renewals, they usually happen at milestones like 5,10,15, etc. years. Anything goes!

I don't want to do one, neither does my partner, we're not married yet so we might change our mind on this but we discussed this subject right after being engaged because most of our older cousins, aunts and uncles (mine and hers) did one or are planning to do one.

As Emily Said: they happen at milestones, most often 10,20,30-year anniversaries but there are no hard and fast rules, you can do it whenever you and your husband want.

View Quoted Comment We're doing the same-- we had deposits on everything last year so we rescheduled everything we wanted originally. And our families haven't met yet! We still have our wedding party so the vow renewal will still have the walking down the aisle, but we don't have anyone like officiating, we're just gonna fall to each other (I'm still working that out I think). Then the reception will be typical wedding style- we're going to do the first dance and special dances, cake cutting, etc.
