Waiting on Wedding Photos

Does your contract specify how long it'll take for her to get your photos back to you? Not all photographers do sneak peeks, and your photographer may have a large backlog of other weddings that she needs to get through before yours. If your contract lists a time frame, wait until that time frame has passed to see if you get your photos by then. If your contract doesn't list a time frame, have you tried calling your photographer, or if she has a studio/office that you visit, stop by in person to ask?

Hi! She did not specify a time frame. And there isn't one in our contract. She doesn't have a studio either.. so I have been trying to reach out via email. I've been wanting a wedding album so I was curious if she was still offering them. I emailed her, and haven't received a response.

View Quoted Comment Ah, got it. How long has it been since you contacted her? If it's been over a week, I would try calling if you have her number, that'd likely be quicker than emailing. You could also send a follow-up email to ask about it again, just in case she overlooked your first email.

My photographer has 6 week turn around in the contract. I went to a wedding on 10/7 and they still haven't received a sneak peak either.

I know... I totally agree. Seems odd. But yes she's been updating her social media with her recent work.

We got married on 10/29, and our photographer had sent an email with an estimate that we'd be getting our pictures this weekend. Given that October was a huge month for weddings, there's a bunch of COVID postponement weddings this year on top of the regularly planned ones, and the holidays, I wouldn't be surprised if they took a little longer.
