Walking down the aisle Song

Leslie, on April 4, 2022 at 6:23 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 15
Did you guys have just instrumentals playing when you walked down the aisle or did you pick a song where someone was also singing? I’m so stuck between which I want to go with

I went with Iz's "Over the Rainbow" - so obviously, there were lyrics

Ooo cute song love it! I want to go with la vie en Rose but so unsure if the instrumental sounds better or with a voice too🙃

Listen to both versions with your eyes closed and see which you can picture walking down the aisle to better?

We used an instrumental version of the McFly song - it's all about you. It was our little joke to each other, and we loved the way the song was used in the lead singer's wedding speech - I highly recommend watching his speech if you're romantic, it's funny, sweet, touching and made me emotional!

I personally like the idea of using an unusual song (or one that's of a genre not generally first thought of for wedding songs!) that's been made instrumental. I like the idea of guests being like... I'm sure I know this song, but what is it? And then realising and smiling.

We are having one of our artists sing and play guitar. I think whatever suits you best is what you go with

I'm probably having a string quartet play an instrumental for the processional and then a live singer when I walk down the aisle

For the bridal walk i picked one with words because i really liked the lyrics too.

i used tenerife sea by ed sheeran and i appeared right when he started singing the lyric "you look so beautiful in your dress"

Right? The speech is super cute! I love when the choir come in! it took ages and ages to find one, since it's an older song and not as popular, but the best version we found is one by the Cairn String Quartet on spotify!

I picked a song that has lyrics in it. It is meaningful to me and it fit right within my vision of the ceremony.
