My husbands grandpa passed in June of 2020. We were unable to visit him due to covid, and had not been able to see him face to face since the previous Christmas. his grandparents were in a facility that did not allow visitors due to Covid. When his grandpa passed, it crushed him. We later eloped in August but couldn't have his grandma there because of the whole not being allowed out of the facility. She passed 3 weeks later in September. Neither made it to our wedding and I know it absolutely destroyed him. Especially because he couldn't say goodbye. We still haven't been able to have a funeral. Anyways we pushed all our original plans to this August and hopefully all will go well. I want to give him something that he can have, maybe wear, while we renew our vows. But I'm not sure what. His grandpa was a great artist, and won many duck stamp awards for his work. Maybe I can have a pin made from one of his works? Any other ideas? We will be having a table in memory for them but I want to do more. His grandpa was very important to him. He has already decided on naming our first boy after him.
