Wanting hair to growth for wedding

Emma, on January 13, 2020 at 1:12 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Hello! I am wanting to grow my hair out for the wedding. My wedding is October 3rd this year. My hair comes to mid chest. I want it as long as possible before the wedding. Any tips on how to promote hair growth? Any vitamin that can help?

Biotin? I actually take prenatal and that helps as well even if you aren't pregnant.

Biotin helped me . I got mine super short thanks to a mistake at the hair cutting place it was the middle of my checks and shaved in back Easter. Now its past my shoulders but I also take phentermine and that makes your hair and nails grow super quick as well as loosing weight .

Unfortunately nothing can make your hair grow faster. Biotin can help if you have a biotin deficiency but there’s never been any scientific proof that it helps if you don’t have a deficiency. It can also cause people to break out and cause digestive problems. It’s up to you if it’s worth experimenting with it to see if you notice a difference.

My hair was in SUCH BAD SHAPE right after we got engaged. I had been bleaching it to death (platinum blonde so basically white) and a large layer basically broke off and left me with a super weird short layer. I had a little more time than you did (about 1.5 years) to improve my hair but here is what I did and it really worked:

    - 100% stopped all color. Trimmed my hair every 8 weeks to get rid of dead ends & blend the drastic layers to blend better. Every 3 times I'd go for a trim, I'd also add a deep conditioning treatment.

    - Slept on a silk pillowcase.

    - Started using only velvet scrunchies.

    - Started drying my hair in hair dry wraps vs. traditional towels.

    - Avoided using any heat on my hair, but if I did, I used a heat protectant prior.

    - Put coconut oil in my hair once a week for 15-30 minutes then washed my hair out.

    - Used hair masks (typically ones that were very moisturizing) once a month.

    - Started using wet brushes & better leave in conditioners.

    - Used only Ovation Cell Therapy Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment.

    - Took biotin with collagen vitamins, and added a collagen powder to my coffee daily. Just a note - biotin does make some people break out so you may want to try it sooner vs. later so you can stop it if it does.

    - Head massage to stimulate growth several times a week.

My hair is overall way healthier (softer, less frizzy, longer) than it was before when I was dying it and not taking care of it. I'm not sure if it made my hair grow "faster" necessarily but the fact that it was healthy meant less dead ends & less breakage so my hair was able to grow longer without me having to cut it off because it looked frizzy or dead.

Look into Viviscal vitamins, they take a few months to see results but I took them and there are many reviews. You can look for before and afters. Also wearing "protective styles" help basically low maintenance styles like braids and buns.

I am growing my hair out right now. Not as much as i used to lol. I used to use so much techniques and was amazed how fast it grew. I did something call the inverse method. You can look up videos on youtube. It involves hanging your head upside down and massaging the scalp. Do this for 7 days. I would do this each month and my hair grew a lot. I would use oils too. But massaging your scalp does help a lot.
