How many layers underneath would it be? I'm trying to visualise where you mean. Do you mean... the first full-length layer under the handkerchief one? I think this would look really pretty. As the other ladies have said, it's a gorgeous dress.

As someone who loves all things sparkle, go for it! Your dress shop or tailor would be able to pin a layer for you to see how you like it before fully committing!
