Not really; we planned it according to our local weather and FH's brother he will be joining the military in January 2012 and will be out of the country for a year. They're like best friends and his prescence means a lot for my FH.
Well...kinda sorta LoL! We just recently decided to push our wedding back mainly because of money but we went from October 13, 2012 to April 13, 2013! It may sound crazy to some but 13 happens to be our lucky number! So, we wanted it in there somewhere but now we have it twice!
We wanted to do 8/19: our birthdays added 3/14 + 5/5, but due to FH's work, he wouldn't be allowed much time off.
then we switched to the solstice: 6/21, but knew we wanted to get married next year, and it lands on a Thursday - and it's a pretty big deal here in the land of the midnight sun.
so we picked 6/30 after realizing it would be nice to be close to the 4th of July, but not actually during it - for long weekends
My fiance's sister lives in Korea and will be home December 8th to January 7th so we wanted to get married during that time period...but not over a holiday. December 10th also happens to my parents wedding anniversary Our 1st wedding anniversary will be their 30th!
Yep, we began dating on January 14th 2009, and so the 14th has always been a special day for us, and also I have always, for as long as I can remember, wanted to get married sometime in April to honor my parents who have been happily married for 28 years now. I have always admired them, as I have grown up watching them make it through the ups and downs, and continue to still be so much in love..
Also, it just so happened that April 14th 2012 is on a saturday, so that worked out in our favor as well. So so very excited, just 8 more months, and I will be HIS wife
Ours was my FH's fathers birthday, he passed away last year and it fell on a saturday this coming year so it just felt right! His whole family thought it was a great idea too
Kinda, we wanted to get married two years from the time we got engaged which was in december 2009, Fh's bday is in december, we started dating in dec, had our first kiss and first everything in december, we got engaged in december so we were not going to get married in any other month. at first we were going with xmas since it's our anniversary but most places were closed so we moved it to the 4th then we found out our pastor would not be here so we moved it again to where we are now.

Nope, just pick the closest time our budget would let us and July 14, 2012 it was. If it wasnt because of the money i would have liked Jan. 1st or July 4st but my sons birthday is July 1st so we just picked the 14, although i dont believe he will be haveing a birthday next year unless its a really small one.
Nothing special. We checked the cruise we wanted to do for our honeymoon first and found when it would be the cheapest and planned the wedding around that lol
My fiance wanted to get married on days important to us - the day we met, our dating anniversary, the day we got engaged, etc. but none of them worked out! I really want a fall wedding and October 20th just popped into my mind and felt right!

Not really anything "special" I just wanted a July wedding- one reason being that i think my colors go wonderfully in July and 2nd being that it's so much cheaper in my area- and then I saw that there was a Friday the 13th in that month and got excited because I have always had good luck on Friday the 13th. :-)
We picked our date because we both wanted to get married on each other's grandparents wedding dates so we compromised and choose a date in the middle. My grandparents got married on May 31st and his got married on July 4th so we went for June 16th.

I picked my wedding based off the weather as well. I always wanted a summer wedding. May was to iffy, July was too hot, early June posed a greater chance for rain so I decided late June. Only downside is for a destination wedding I also picked the peak season. Higher prices for everything. That part sucks.
