Was your hair and makeup trial worth it?

My HMU artist charges $100 for the trial. For those of you who did the trial, did you feel like it was worth it? Did your HMU artist charge for the trial? I’m leaning towards doing it because I don’t want to be stressed about it the day of the wedding since I’d have never seen it before.

My trial was $80 something for hair and makeup. It's absolutely worth it, to have peace knowing that your stylist can accomplish your look for your big day. I originally wanted to wear my hair half up with curls, but that didn't work out, so we ended up finding a nice messy low bun updo. Plus now I know what I want to tweak on the actual day. I'm really glad I did the trial.

I had a makeup trial that was included in the price of the day of makeup. I loved my wedding makeup, but it looked nothing like my trial. I'm not sure if she forgot or just didn't reference the photo or what. She's a very popular, very busy makeup artist in my area so I'm not sure if it had to do with having so many clients. I was very happy with the end result, but had I known it wouldn't be the same thing, I would just asked to not have the trial.
