Was your proposal a total surprise? 💍 Or did you see it coming??

I sort of saw it coming... he's not very good at hiding things from me! But I didn't mind because it got me excited leading up to it and I might have made different decisions otherwise. Like, I was offered a fun side gig that paid well right at the same time, so instead of going on an expensive vacation (we got engaged in Santorini, Greece!) I might've chosen the more practical option. I'm soooooo glad I didn't!! He put a lot of thought into the ring and the proposal itself, so I still had plenty of happy surprises.

So, I knew it was coming because he had me pick out the ring and he told me when he was ordering it. He also alluded to not wanting to hold onto when it arrived and he knew I’d say no if he proposed on Valentine’s Day. That said, when he called me on the Thursday before vday to meet him at his church after work, I was pretty sure he was going to propose. What was a surprise was the fact that he was dressed as a Templar Knight. We’d definitely bonded over knights and fair ladies. He’s been in my phone as “my knight” since just after we met.
