So I still have a ways before my wedding next year, but I have been freaking out about the honeymoon pampering! Everybody says to get waxed these days because it’s a smoother result and it last longer, so you don’t have to pull out the razor half way through your honeymoon. I want to be as sexy as I can be for my hubby, but at what cost?! Is the pain really that bad for a Brazilian or waxing in general? Drop your thoughts below!!

Thank you all soooo much for your advice! After much deliberation I have decided I will start waxing 6 months before my wedding! I am going to try sugaring as well! Can’t thank y’all enough for helping me figure this out!

I’ve never gotten waxed and I’ve always thought about it for the same reasons, but I’m scared out of my mind. Lol. People say it’s not that bad but I’m worried lol. I’m following this post, I am curious as well.

I’ve done both sugaring and waxing. My first Brazilian was definitely painful and my pain tolerance is low but I think it was completely worth it! I did it about three days before vacation( definitely need a few days before) and I loved the results and no ingrowns which is enough to sell me!! It lasted probably 3 weeks. Sugaring hurt a little less but didn’t last as long for me. Smiley smile

I heard a horror story of a woman who got a bikini wax a day or two before her wedding and couldn’t have her “fun night” because the whole time her skin was aggravated and red. To top it off that was the night she lost her v card. Smiley sad

Hey girl! I'm an aesthetician and you would need to do it a bit consistently beforehand to get the longer lasting affect of slower hair growth and such. It does have a very nice finish tho! Depends on how you can take the pain from it ultimately, I feel!

Don't be scared! But the first time is however more painful, simply because you should be 3 months grown out, for all the different stages of hair to be about same length, which will give great results. I suggest growing out all the way up until your wedding, and getting your first full Brazilian 1 or so before your wedding! Your FH will be a very happy man. Then get your second Brazilian 2 days before the honeymoon. you should get waxed every 5 weeks. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for 5 years now (ballet dancer) and my FH has been getting Brazilians with me for 4 years now. He loves not ever having to shave and has wayyyyy less hair in general because he waxes.
