Waxing......you know where

Okay so I'm considering getting a Brazilian wax for the wedding night. But I am freaking SCARED! I'm uncomfortable with the whole thing and terrified it will hurt SO bad. Is it worth it ladies? What's the best advice?

@Kelsey hair remove cream burns the heck out of me if it's on there more than a minute...which doesn't actually remove hair. So I wouldn't recommend it. Like burned to where I was bleeding in my testing area....

I'll be honest, I would love to do a Brazilian. I've thought about it a lot, but I can't get over the insecurity of someone seeing me that vulnerable.

I've been going once a month for the last 4 years and I highly reccomend it. Go to European Wax Center as they use a good wax for that area. Also I reccomend taking Tylenol beforehand. However the more you go the less it hurts!

DO NOT do it the first time for your wedding!!

Honestly, I've had several bikini waxes in my lifetime including a Brazilian, and I didn't feel like they were worth the money... the hair started to grow back by the end of the week, and it wasn't bare enough that I felt I could wear a bikini bottom as it grew back, so I still had to shave new growth. To me, shaving is just easier.

If this is the first time you're considering going hairless, check if your FH is into that. I surprised my FH with a waxed netherland for our first anniversary, and I later found out he prefers things more natural down there. Which is awesome, because I'm lazy as shit.

Start now, make sure you find a place you like to use.

Don't go for crazy special smell or color wax. Go traditional. Don't do cold wax.

I'm Brazilian and get it done since I was 14 -trust my experience Smiley smile

Take an Advil 60-40 minutes before, don't go close to the date you'll have your period (it will hurt way more than it needs).

Don't use lotions or anything with fragrance the day of (before or after) if you wish, you AD to calm your skin. Bepantol (we swear by it in brasil and sells at Amazon.com) is the best.

For the wedding I recommend having it done 4-3 days prior Smiley smile

    Have fun!

Do it before the wedding to make sure you and FH like it.

I think European wax centers are variable -- the one near me the waxers are terrible and waxing hurts WAY more than the local place I went to in my old city before I moved out of state. Look at reviews for the places near you. Definitely don't wait until right before the wedding in case you have sensitive skin etc. Take some acetaminophen or ibuprofen before.

Ok just coming here to say PROCEED WITH CAUTION with the hair removal creams down there. I'm glad it's working for some but if you're not one of these lucky few you will be in a world of pain significantly worse than any short term waxing.

I recommend taking two pain killers beforehand if it is your first time. I also recommend the company "European Wax Center" if they are close to you. By far the best waxing experience I have had for such a sensitive area. Good luck!

The very first time I went, I was terrified. It hurt, but not as insanely as I expected, and it was over faster than i expected. I walked out without pain, swelling, discomfort. It's much easier and better than your imagining.

I love the hard wax the best.... but now I have upgraded and have done laser hair removal down there, by far the best over wax!

I think it's worth the try, I've waxed my legs before and it's awesome. Did armpits once and I was incredibly sore. Mine were at home kits though
