We are a go for our July 25th Wedding in Houston, Texas - Anyone else?

Hi Ladies!

We were supposed to get married yesterday, but moved it to 7/25 and are definitely moving forward on that date. We put our new invites in the mail today! Smiley smile I'm very nervous and excited. We have an outdoor & indoor venue, and a guest list of a little over 80, but I'm guessing we will land with about 60, give or take.

We'll be doing everything possible to keep guests safe, including a separate seating area for those over 65 or with underlying conditions who have been very heavily social distancing. We'll also have hand sanitizers at various locations throughout the venue.

We are doing Dinner & Dancing but I doubt there'll be much dancing except between folks of the same household.

I'd post a pic of my dress but worry that my fiancee would somehow stumble upon it...although weddingwire is the last place he's interested in visiting - LOL.

Anyone else? Share your details of your special day! Smiley heart Smiley smile

I’m also getting married in Houston! Mine isn’t until September but we are keeping our date for now and waiting to see if precautions ease up. But we are attending a wedding on July 3 also in Houston! My fiance is a groomsman and I believe the couple is maintaining the 25% capacity rule and following guidelines in regards to seating and social distancing. Sorry you had to postpone but congrats on your upcoming special day!!

Thank you! And same to you! I think we'll be up to 50% for indoor and full capacity for outside by July. The pastor who is marrying us has a daughter who is getting married the last Saturday of June, just outside of Houston. We are lucky to be in Texas where we have not had the # of cases, and we have not had the % of deaths so many other states have had. It's still worrisome, but life is a gamble and tend to forget that. Great luck to you in September! The weather should be fabulous!

I was July 25th in Wisconsin and ended up postponing, but I am so happy for you that you can go on! I'm super interested in how weddings will go over the next few months and getting ideas for how to do this all safely as I am certain we will not be out of the woods when my wedding rolls around next May! Best of luck to you!

I spoke too soon. We’ve now moved ours to 5/15/21. I’m pretty discouraged right now and not even convinced it’s going to happen....
