We have reserved seats in your honor...

Amanda, on February 6, 2019 at 5:34 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 20
We have added “we have reserved ___ seats in your honor” to our invitations. I didn’t want to fill in the number by hand, was thinking I could use a single digit number stamp (1, 2, and 3) but cannot find a single digit stamp anywhere! I tried these metal leather working stamps but they are not working. Any suggestions?

Most people just fill this in by hand. Is there a specific reason you don't want to? IMO, this is too small a detail to focus too much time on unless you have a lot of time to kill.

I just thought a stamp would look nicer but if I can’t find one small enough I can write it in.

Hallmark, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or JoAnn's usually have single stamps!

It takes less than 10 seconds to fill it in when envelope stuffing. Altogether, the 20 minutes it will take ( for about 200 people, 120 invitations or less) is less than the time it will take you to read replies here, nevermind order or buy some solution. Just do it by hand. It is not painful.

I did ours by hand. It goes by SO MUCH QUICKER if One of you could read off the guest list and then have the other one write the number in

Hi Future Mrs, i’ve seen people talking about adding this to their rsvp’s. Could you possibly share a picture of your RSVP, please? Thank you!

Hey! Unfortunately I don’t have a picture but our rsvp cards were literally identical to this. We wrote in how many seats and since we knew everyone’s names, we wrote them in too!

Great! Thanks for sharing. Also a great reminder to ask about food allergies and restrictions!

If you use the stamp you have just take a paint brush and put the ink on the number needed, then make sure you wipe it off really well before switching numbers

We did this as well on our invites, and we filled it in by hand, and I can tell you that there were still people who looked over this feature, tried to RSVP for more people, and/or brought whoever they wanted anyhow. Every crowd is different! I thought this was a great way to be clear, but apparently not!

I did mine in nice writing with a metallic sharpie that matched our invites/color scheme.
