We decided to postpone our April 24th 2020 wedding. I wanted to drop some helpful info for anyone who is in the same boat as us. As soon as we made the decision, we sent a group email to all of our vendors and asked them to give us all the Fridays they had available from October until February 2021. We started with October because of the uncertainty of when this will all be over. The earliest date we could get everyone to agree on was 01/15/2021. We went from our wedding being a month away to 300 days away. It’s definitely depressing, but we would much rather wait until things blow over and we can relax and really celebrate with our families. In the meantime we are going to have a private marriage alone which i am very much looking forward to. Anyway, i wanted to share how we informed our guests- hopefully this helps!!!
We were able to get all of our guests email addresses (this took 2 days) we then created an email to send to them all that provided a link to our minted wedding website ... see below.. I’ll attach photos. Our minted website allows guests to RSVP via the website, so we put an update and asked everyone (including whoever already responded) to please RSVP again.
We have received a very positive response from all of our guests so far and actually a lot of responses. Things are really looking up. I hope this helps someone who is desperately trying to figure out where to start. Being quarantined has allowed us the time to sit down together and figure it all out. It helps that I’m marrying a type A guy who has kept all of our guests and responses in a spreadsheet lol. Check out the screen shots. The first picture was the email we sent to everyone.
