We want to go on a trip!

Amalee, on April 1, 2022 at 8:13 PM Posted in Planning 13 7
I was wondering if it would be okay to go on a four day trip to another state two months before the wedding? I want to make sure we won’t be too busy. I’m thinking that we should be getting alterations done, or furniture shopping or something. I’m nervous that I’ll commit to going on this trip and then I’ll regret it because I won’t have time to do wedding things.

Do you think it’ll be okay if we go?

A 4 day trip should not cut into anything. You will be fine.

It may or may not if work isn't a issue and you that all the things of your planning is coming along as you want and vendors are notified incase they may need. But for 2 months to be gone that long hmmm I dont dont maybe 4 a few days or a week for some R&R. But if you think that it wouldn't be any major things that need to be done then the time mentioned but not 2 mos

It shouldn't be a problem to take some time away and some time out before the wedding. You still have 2 months to go and that is plenty of time unless you really have a very long list of things to do. Some time away might refresh you for all the rest of the wedding planning. Smiley smile

No matter what things need to happen for the wedding or moving, taking four days off isn't going to make or break you. Go on the trip and enjoy yourself! For what it's worth, my husband was gone for 2.5 weeks the month before our wedding for work and it was fine.

We went out of town for a week the month before the wedding. Anything that needs to happen can be scheduled around your trip and four days away (from wedding planning lol) will probably be good for your stress levels.

We went away for a couple of days two months before our wedding. I just scheduled any appointments around the trip. Most vendors didn't need to be in person. If we needed to get in touch with them an email, text or phone call was fine. Go away and relax, it can be a stressful time.

That break from wedding planning and the stress sounds like it could be needed! We're going on a five day trip back to my home state a few months before the wedding to meet our new niece and see family and we said we're going to use that time to completely forget about wedding related things and give ourselves that break before the chaos.
