I wouldn't call it a hoax, but it does sound like one of those marketing events. You have to spend 90 minutes or sometimes 2 hours at their "presentation" or "event" where they give you and every other couple the hard sell for whatever they are selling. I've seen it for timeshare companies, cookware companies. It's usually still legit, as my FH and I "won" one, and sat through the spiel, politely declined the offer, but still got the free gifts we were promised. So, it wasn't bad.

If you can get a free honeymoon out of it, I'd say it's worth the sales pitch.

You listen to a sales presentation where they do try to sell you cooking ware and if you do buy the cooking ware then you get an 8 day vacation.We didn’t buy anything and go the rings, canvas art gift card and the 3 night free vacation!It’s silly but definitely worth it! We made it fun.

Sounds way too good to be true. Lol I had one of those since signed up at bridal shower. And guy was reading everything apparently had to travel like 2 hours to listen to some talk and you had to sign up for something and it was like yeah no thanks. Sounded sketchy.

Read into it, it’s all by the same company. You go there and listen for an hour or two of them trying to sell pots and pans and then you break off with one of the sales members and they do give you a free 3 or 4 night stay to a ton of different options but google it. “I won’t free honeymoon” you go to the destination but the first whole day you have to sit at a orientation & do tours the whole day. So you really only get 2 or 3 days. Airfare isn’t included and water sports isn’t included. I got the same text and like 20 other people will be there at the same orientation. We were confused cause we thought we had been the only winners...

Also you have to pay 25$ shipping on the wedding bands which is from jvl jewelry . The wedding flutes is 25$ dollar shipping which essentially pays for themselves. Also you have to pay for hotel taxes which ends up being 120-150 dollars + any room upgrades.

Congrats and hope it all works out for you. We "won" one as well and when we went to the presentation, it was about time shares. Buy this and get a weekend free type of thing. Hopefully yours is real!

Congrats! When I entered my name into one of these last year, I too won. But it’s more of a presentation that if you purchase the pots and pans or knives then you’ll get the free honeymoon. If you don’t, you still get a 2 night mini-cation however when you get there you are stuck in another 3-4 hour presentation the next morning to buy timeshare. Just giving you the deets.
We opted not to do any of those and kept the flutes. We wasted gas but ended up having date night in the city so it was worth it for us. He wore sport coat and denim and I wore an off the shoulder black romper with stilettos. But everyone else had street clothes.

Fiancé and I won an Aruban vacation at a bridal show and the trip/resort was soooo amazing he did something he never ever has done: ADDED 5 MORE DAYS!! So our 5 day vacay become a 10 day one!
