Wear a bra or sew in cups?

kmcneely27, on October 17, 2016 at 10:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31

Debating on just wearing a strapless push-up bra with my dress or finding some push-up cups to have sewn in for added support. My dress is strapless. Any thoughts or suggestions? What are you ladies doing?

Just have the bridal place sew in cups. That's what I did and it was so much easier!

I'm getting cups sewn into my dress. It's not strapless but it is backless. I think cups might be more comfortable and easier then trying to find a bra.

My dress luckily has a lot of boning (is that the correct term?) in the front, so I won't need to wear a bra or have cups sewn in

Do you have them sew in the padding that comes in bathing suit tops? Or what kind of material do you put in there?

I want to get cups sewn in but I'm a DD so I've been told sewn in may not work, depending on the style

I had cups sewn into my dress, but I also wore a strapless. I struggle in that area and doubling up gave me just the umph I needed while still looking natural.

Depending on the dress. I will probably end up wearing a strapless, but if I had gone with the illusion lace back I would have had them sew in cups.

If I had a strapless dress I'd probably have the cups sewn in, it'll be easier than fussing with a strapless bra all night.

Neither! I have a corset back and it actually looked better with out anything (in a D cup)

Cups would be a lot easier. I wish I was given the option. Instead I was silly and bought the $80 corset they suggested at David's Bridal lol

@Nastassia, I'm a D and am having sewn in cups. My dress is strapless too but has a corset back.

Sew in push-up cups usually run about $40, at least they have at all the places I checked. There's no way I could find a semi-decent strapless bra that would look as good for that much so I think it's a worthwhile investment

I will have cups sewn in. I went to a wedding recently where the bride had a strapless bra on and it kept showing out the top of the dress! (I dont think she had the dress altered at all so it didn't fit properly...she was pulling it up all night long...ugh!) But really tje last thing I want is photos with my bra showing!!

My dress has a zipper back with a corset built into it so I am hoping that I won't need to wear anything else.
