Wearing a faux fur wrap during indoor ceremony?

MrsRidley, on December 26, 2017 at 10:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I had my final dress fitting today, and I am a little concerned about how busty I am in the dress. I knew the risk of getting a strapless sweetheart dress, but during the fittings everything seemed perfect. I dont Think the dress is that bad, but I do have some concerns for the ceremony. Do you all think it would be acceptable for me to wear my faux fur wrap during the ceremony, without looking silly? I attached some pictures of how the wrap looks versus the dress alone without the wrap I just don’t want to look silly. I tried to find some pictures of brides online at their indoors ceremony with a fur shawl or wrap on but I couldnt find much.

My breasts are 48DDD and I’m wearing a sweetheart dress. I have a faux fur for outside photos since it’ll be in a few days. But i had my tailor take in the top sides so it was tighter around my breasts and I feel very comfortable.

Your picture didnt upload, bug I’m sure you’ll be fine in whatever you decide to wear!

I can't see the picture but if I was a guest I would think it was a little odd (if it's what I'm picturing) but honestly if that's what you're comfortable in go for it!

You can buy overlays for strapless dresses. That’s always an option if your afraid he wrap will look silly! (Which I don’t think it will)

What season? Id say yes for some sort of covering for the ceremony. There are all kinds of cover up options that people wear for the ceremony and then take off. Bdhln has some good options.

I gave my BMs and flower girls faux fur wraps to wear for outdoors but I think it would have looked fine if they wanted to wear them indoors too. I wore a fur wrap after the ceremony during cocktail hour.

I am busty also, at the time of my wedding I was a 40- I. I wore a sweetheart neckline and was married in a church. As long as your breasts are not hanging out, over exposed, and everything is covered by the dress you will be fine. Now if you have your breasts pushed up to where they are over flowing the top of the dress, pushed together, or show a large amount of breasts then I would figure something else out as I think a fake fur coverup will look weird inside. Also, if the ceremony area is cold then you could get away with it but honestly you live this dress and it would be a shame to cover it up.
