wearing a prom dress/formal dress instead of a wedding gown?

No one would know if you don't tell them. I think you should wear what you want and feel good in.

#1 for me all the way. looks more like a wedding gown. And like Julie said wear whatever you choose its your day!! #2 and #3 look too prom ' ish

I like #1. Who cares where you got it or the "purpose" of the dress (prom or wedding). If you found a dress at Target that you fell in love, then rock it! Have you tried on these dresses?

I love #1 I was looking at prom dresses too in case I choose a beach wedding.

I have not tried any of these on. Just trying to give a general idea of the look I am going for. Went to a bridal store today and tried on a few gowns and they just did not feel right at all even the ones that were more like these were still to, poofy...

All 3 of those dresses are perfect. Looks like a wedding gown to me! I like the first two the best but that slit on #3 is hot!

#1 I with everyone else as long as you don't tell it's not a wedding dress specifically who's gonna know? Wear what you love & can afford, that's what I'm going to do... Good luck with your choice!

I LOVE #2!!! Sorry I am different. I think it looks so amazing. Classy, elegant and different from the norm. Wear what you like. No one will ever know.

Wear what you feel beautiful and comfortable in and I love the 3rd one

This is my second wedding and I tried on a few traditional wedding gowns, but I felt like a cupcake. I opted for an MOB gown instead.

@Bridetobe I'm loving the slit in the dresses too! lol. Slit with some super hot shoes! LOVE IT, totally my personality. @we'llalwayshaveparis that dress is gorggggeeeouuuuussssss! I think I'm just going to go to a prom dress store and look around..... thanks ladies!

Wear what you are comfortable in. Any of those 3 could pass for a wedding dress and would be much eaier on the budget as well!

I would never guess any of these weren't wedding dresses if you didn't tell me.

#2 is my favorite.

I would have had no idea those were prom dresses unless you had said so. I doubt anyone will notice or care so long as you look happy.
