Website for plated dinner

Giuliana, on November 1, 2021 at 12:28 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hey guys,

The venue I chose offers plated dinner, so I’d like to pick a website that allows you to see the menu and pick your dinner choice as you RSVP. I would hate to have to keep asking guests one by one. I don’t know how it would work if a guest is RSVPing for the entire party to pick everyone’s meals. Did anyone use the knot or Zola for that? I’ll also be doing a cash fund, so I want a website that supports all that. Thanks

Withjoy.com offers that option. A menu should be provided to guests regardless of plated or buffet. And it is imperative that guests be made aware of the full menu before selecting their choice for plated (same applies to buffet/stations at tables to cut down on lines when they go up to fill plates), because there is nothing more frustrating than trying to guess what presentation each dish is. With a choice of beef vs chicken vs vegan: what are they, what sauces/seasonings, sides, etc does each have? People are told that guests do not need this information at all and the only thing they need to tell the couple on the reply card is any dietary restrictions and food allergies. But a ton of confusion will be eliminated by being very clear about the menu from the getgo.

I have LOVED used Joy for our RSVPs! I was able to insert a question for every course of dinner. I also added that if anyone had any questions about the specifics of the menu, to just let me know! There was a bit of a learning curve, but I was able to insert questions about when the guests will be arriving and departing, if they plan on staying at the hotel with the block, what they'd like for the meals, and also collect an RSVP for the welcome dinner. It's been great. Oh, and about the food - our group is small, so I already know about all the different allergies and tried to pick a menu that eliminated as many of those as possible.

Hi Giuliana! WeddingWire lets your guests pick their dinner choice as they RSVP and supports multiple registry retailers (including Traveler's Joy - a honeymoon fund site).

The Knot also lets your guests pick their dinner choice and they have a cash fund option!!

I’m using the knot for this and I’m honestly thinking of changing to Zola. I’ve been having trouble previewing my website and using the site in general.
