Wedding and Virus

Hello all,


Is anyone worried about the upcoming wedding in this virus. My wedding is supposed to be June 6, 2020. I am worried that I’m going to have to cancel or reschedule it but because it’s so far out how do I decide whether or not to make that call. Have you spoken to the venue and they said since it’s still far out they don’t know what the best course of action to take us. My fiancé and I have been together going on eight years we hate to push this off another year. On top of this wedding stress, I am also in graduate school and stressing about school work!! Opinions and advice needed!!

    HI Breanna,

    So sorry you are stressed! I feel ya on that. I am supposed to get married on May 30th. We talked with our venue last week and they were hopeful that things will be better by then and that we shouldn't reschedule yet. They said we can talk again on April 1st and reevaluate and see where the situation is at.

    I've seen a mix on here - some brides holding out, some postponing. I feel like at this point with how terrible the news has been, I will be relieved if I can get a back up date. As much as I want my May wedding, it's looking less and less likely that things will be back to normal in just 10 short weeks.

    I am going to call my venue again tomorrow and see if they have July or August dates available. Fall is out of the question since we have several friends getting married in the fall, and so do the members of our wedding party, unfortunately.

    I have the same wedding date! I spoke with my venue and they said no late May or June brides have canceled so far. They are hopeful things will get better and so am I. I am going on as planned and sending out invites but will make the final call May 1
