Wedding Arch necessary?

Peachypie, on August 8, 2018 at 12:22 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

Hey all,

We are getting married in a park with a beautiful lake behind us that the guests will be facing. Is an arch really necessary?? I feel it's overkill for the beautiful park we chose. Does anyone have more inexpensive ideas besides an arch? I am trying to get the creative juices flowing. Thanks in advance!

It's not necessary especially if you don't have room in the budget for one. Pinterest is great, but everyone now thinks they need to incorporate all of those ideas into their wedding. If you want an arch, have an arch. If you don't really care, save the money! In a couple of years no one is going to remember it anyway 🤷

We decided not to use an arch. Our weddings aresimilar, we too Will be on a lake. Instead of and arch we are doing knee height pedestals 2 at the begining of our run way and 2 at the end where we will be standing. They are $20 at a.c. Moore but only 10 if you use the 50% off coupon. We are going to get vases from the dollar store and putting fresh flowers from the grocery store. Over all it's gonna cost about $50 which is way cheaper then the arches we found.

There are lots of options. If your going to go with an arch get one cheaper at Joann’s with coupon. Then dress it up with tulle they sell cheap and put 1 simple floral arrangement or paper bells. Another option is two tall narrow boxes with two tall glass vases with flowers in them. A country French style sofa table with flowers is different length vases with a pretty table runner. Maybe with candles.

Not at all! Let the natural beauty of your location shine. Unless an arch is part of the venue I think sometimes it looks too artificial in such a natural setting. Enjoy that lake view.

I like the idea of something on the ground, like vases with flowers or something with candles... I feel like something on the ground will be less likely to take away from your backdrop
