This was my project for today and it turned out amazing. For a grand total of 30$ I have a wedding arch, it is made in 3 pieces that come apart for transport and are easily put together with 2 bolts. The materials I used are cheap and light and constructed to be hollow so each post weighs only about 15 or 20 pounds. My wedding is indoors on a stage in a non denominational chapel so don't have to worry about it standing up to weather or wind. The plan is to drape white cloth and have mumms and pumpkins maybe a lantern near the bottoms and the barrel in the picture will have my hourglass ceremony on it.

I'd recommend using white tulle for the draping fabric. You can buy it at your local fabric store.

OP, it looks so great! Good job, and I like that you put thought into it being lightweight. Smiley smile

Tulle can actually be kind of stiff and doesn't drape as nicely as some other fabrics...chiffon or something like that would definitely flow better and give you a closer look to your inspiration photo.

Thanks, I definitely wasn't thinking tool and I'll probably take a visit to the fabric shop and just look around maybe in the clerence room to find something that will work

Looks awesome! How do you plan to attach floral decorations (if you do at all)? I can't figure out how to attach flowers to our arch. Any tips would be useful

@future mrs.c I wasn't planning on it then my mom was like it would be amazing if you did so I'm going to try. My plan is to create a back bone maybe some sticks or even cardboard. Attach the flowers to the back bone then attach the backbone to the arch with maybe a nail

It's beautiful! FH built me an arch and my plan is to do the draping like you as well.

Tulle can be very soft and flow beautifully. This is a gazebo I decorated yesterday.
