Hi Ladies..

So I am having a hard time with my wedding band. I love my e-ring. The jeweler made it by hand. It is low profile. Therefore my wedding band has to have a notch in it. I HATE THIS IDEA!!!! When I asked him how to get around this he said the only way is to change my e-ring and that he doesn't' recommend this as it will compromise the integrity of the ring (which I don't completely understand)...and I feel bad to change it. MY FH had it made, for me...

So what other choices do I have for a wedding band if I don't like the notched look? anyone?? HELP : (

My sister's band does not sit flush with her e-ring. They actually look great together that way. She has the option to just wear the band or wear them both together. I think it will be fine to have a band that's not flush with the ring.

My rings don't exactly match but they are as close as I could get them to match. I actually wanted the exact band initially but my e ring has diamonds all the way around ..like 3d? Anyway what was the point of getting diamonds like that when they'd probably bang into each other and eventually diamonds fall out. I love my ring ..cant wait till our fifth anniv. I want a third band lol

FutureMrsJ, my engagement ring looks very similar to yours. I like that it doesn't sit high and catch on everything. My wedding band is an eternity band. It does not sit flush, but there is not a big gap.

If that's not an option, you could get the notched/curved band to wear with your engagement ring AND a regular band to wear when you're not wearing the engagement ring.

If you want something similar to what K has and the jeweler is being really pushy about it, why not tell your jeweler that you don't want to have the notch because you plan to wear your e-ring on your right hand after the wedding and you're prefer to have a straight, non-notched wedding band?

Once they're made, wear 'em however you want. Smiley smile

Just back from the jeweler. Here is what I think we'll do. I need that middle band to avoid a huge space. What do you like?

A lot of people get an inexpensive band that's called a spacer which is similar to the one picture you have. I'd say that's the best idea so you don't have the same type of metals possibly rubbing up against each other and causing damage.

Our rings are super similar, except mine is a princess cut. I wanted mine to sit low, as I just liked it better. (Didn't think about the band issue at the time.) I'm currently considering a black diamond wrap. The curves would help it sit closer, but wi gaps on both sides, it seems more symmetrical.

I've tried on different ones, but couldn't find anything without a gap. I really like that band with a notch! Where is it from? Everything I've seen has a curve, but no notch.

I have tried the wrap on with the ring, but don't have pictures. Smiley sad I just like that it's different and really makes the ring pop. Kay's also has a wrap with just regular diamonds. It's the same look, but all one silvery look, instead of three. I wanted something more delicate, so it was too much for me.
