I've budgeted around $500 for his ring. Hopefully closer to $400 though.

I spent about $1800 on FH's. It was made from the ejector nozzle of a fighter plane and FH had been drooling over it so I went ahead and got it for him. I also got him a not quite as nice ring for whenever he goes to the race track or is doing something stupid with his buddies and it was about $110.

Some guys don't really like wearing jewelry. FH is super traditional and he wanted to make sure everyone knew he was off the market (He wears one of his bands as an engagement ring) so a wedding band was super important to him. If he doesn't want something expensive, maybe take a look at Amazon or Etsy. I've heard good things about rings from both of those places.

He and I went to several stores and he didn't really find anything he liked...so then we went online and found one he liked a lot...I brought the picture in to my local jeweler and they were able to order me an identical one, which was awesome because the online seller had some shifty reviews.

If your FH would be just as happy with a $100 ring, go for it! There are a lot of really awesome options out there in alllll sorts of materials! Mine really wanted a gold ring so I obliged, but I wouldn't have hesitated to go for tungsten or whatever else was in his taste. Smiley smile

He ended up choosing a ring that was about $200.

The other ring he was looking at was about $2k so I'm thinking of getting him that for an anniversary sometime in the future.

I spent about $650. It is a plain gold band, about 7mm, and 14K, but it was special order as his hands are so big!! I had to talk him down from 18K - that would have been twice as much.

We spent $340ish on DH's ring. I caught a holiday sale last year.

My fiance paid $300 for his. He picked it out in the Caribbean and got exactly what he wanted. It's a simple two toned rose gold band with some carving.

We're most likely going to order bands next month. But his will probably be in the $600 range. He wants white gold. I have a friend who still works at a jewelry store where I used to work, so she's going to give me the employee cost on our bands....it'll save us about 30-40% off retail which is amazing because it means we can get much nicer rings than our budget would otherwise allow.

Your best bet at $100 is going to be Titanium or Tungsten. They're durable (tungsten more so than titanium), and are a white/grey metal with a close appearance to white gold. Downside is you can't resize or polish them.

I spent around $330 for a tantalum ring. If I had the money I really wanted to get him one of the meteorite rings. The one thing I don't like about the different metals is they can't be resized but our warranty allows for replacements if he needs a different size.

If he only wants to spend $100 than just do that! Doesn't really matter how much it costs.

We spent about $700, maybe closer to $800. It is a white gold band with a brushed finish.
