Ya'll I know my fiance spent a lot of money on my engagement ring and it is GORGEOUS so I don't want to be "cheap" buying our wedding bands but I'm really not one to spend a lot on jewelry for him or for myself - I have no clue where to start looking for bands especially since I have a Marquise cut...

Ya'll I know my fiance spent a lot of money on my engagement ring and it is GORGEOUS so I don't want to be "cheap" buying our wedding bands but I'm really not one to spend a lot on jewelry for him or for myself - I have no clue where to start looking for bands especially since I have a Marquise cut ring and I'll need a decent v-shape to go around it.

I think he wants Tungsten? Idk, neither does he haha. Someone help with where to start! What did you pay for your bands, how far in advance did you get them, and where did you find them?

Great idea! I was worried it might be too late to get them but hopefully not!

I left that same day with mine, we had to order FH but it only took a few weeks to get it in, mostly because we designed it together. But even if you have to order them in the end of November you have plenty of time to get them before your wedding!

My FH also wants tungsten, I don't know if you have a Paramount Jewelers near you but they are always running specials. I will be getting my band from there for about $200 and FH's ring will be a little less than that. Mine is white gold with about 8 diamonds in a channel to match my E ring, and FH's is tungsten with a darker silver color in the middle.

Though tungsten is said to "break easier", it is scratch resistant and is difficult to purposefully break. My BIL has a tungsten ring and even after two years of handyman work there are no noticeable scratches on it.

I purchased my FH's ring on Etsy and he loves it! He's in forestry and likes the darker steel and I found one with wood on the inner part and it was less than $200

I'd go for gold over tungsten (maybe try 10k gold as it's cheaper than 14k) but I've heard tungsten is very fragile and can shatter, and then you'll end up having to buy a new ring and the cost of multiple tungsten replacements would be as much as 1 durable gold ring.

    That's just what I've heard!
