I’m sure you guys have heard of the tradition of saving your last tier of your wedding cake ? And then eating it a year later for your anniversary . Our cake vendor knows the tradition and gave us suggestions on how to preserve . But she does not recommend it. Hubby and I are still doing it anyway,...

I wanna eat it right then and there 😂

How many of you have actually waited a year to eat it? And did it still taste good?

Every single couple I know who has done this has said it wasn't worth it. There is no way to freeze a cake for a year without it drying out and losing flavor. There's a good reason your baker doesn't recommend it.

I would suggest eating all your cake at or immediately following your wedding and then having your baker make you a replica mini cutting cake or cupcakes for your one year anniversary if you really want to partake in this tradition. Don't waste a perfectly good piece of cake by putting it in the freezer to go bad.
