Wedding cake. Does is have to match the colors of your wedding????

I think that would be fine... as long as you stay in the same shade family.

I honestly don't think it matters! As long as you and FS love it that's all that matters!

If I ever find the person who decided that all weddings must have "colors," I am going to beat that person senseless! A reception is a party. You want it to look put-together rather than random, but that's it. Not everything must be the same few colors.

I don't think it matters... but the colors you're leaning towards will still blend quite well with you color scheme.

I think the cake is the one place that you can have fun and get away with it. Have the cake that you desire for your wedding!!

I don't think they have to match. I wouldn't have passed on something I *loved* if the colors weren't the same. Thankfully the design that I love is also in the colors we're using! Our colors are similar to your's (we're having sage and rose), and these will be our cupcakes, only with roses instead of daisies:

The wedding cake is the focal point of the reception. The wedding cake should compliment the decor/theme of the reception. Hope this helps. Justs some friendly professional advise.
