It's cute, but there are so many other amazing dessert options and cute ways to style the desserts! Dessert is a NECESSITY.. always...even outside of wedding talk lol

We're having a cake bc we both love the traditional almond flavored cake & have been joking with each other since we started dating that "wedding cake flavor" tastes like the best day of your life. That being said, it comes down to what you want as a couple. If you don't love cake, opt for something else. Don't feel pressured to do things or have things on your special day that you don't love!

A cake is necessary tradition wise. But a 5 tier cake? not necessary! We're doing cupcakes and 1 tier so everyone can have some cake as a mid reception snack

I think a small cake to cut is, but we are serving cupcakes in lieu of cake!

We definitely wanted a cake but we don't think its necessary. We were also gonna have a dessert table for those who might not like or want cake.

Cake is not necessary. I'm having a personal cake and the rest will be other desserts or am different flavored cupcakes

A dessert of some kind is nice, but it’s not necessary for it to be a fancy cake. We’re doing homemade cupcakes (made by yours truly).

I am happy to have a wedding cake/wedding cupcakes/wedding donuts...

Not necessary, but I would like to have one. Though if we have no reception, IDK how that would feature in the day. Smiley xd

I typically dislike most cakes (western ones are always too sweet for my Asian palate), so a wedding cake is really unnecessary for us. Plus our 3 course dinner already includes individually plated dessert cake. We opted instead to order 400 French macarons (for roughly 200 guests), arranged in 2 10-tier towers to give that "wedding cake display" appearance. We're putting out small treat bags out so people can take some macarons with them (if they want) as they leave.

It is for me! I enjoyed cake testing and deciding on our final product. We are getting a small two tiered cake to cut into, and then several sheet cakes to be cut for guests.

I would have loved to have like a donut bar or something though! I just absolutely love our wedding cake so it is a must.

I do not think it is necessary. We will probably have a smaller 2 tier for us, and a few other dessert options!

Necessity. Then again, it's all about tradition on this one and personal taste.

A cake is definitely not necessary but some kind of dessert is, in my opinion. We're having a single tier cake for cutting and then a full slab grocery store cake for the guests.

We'll probably have a small cake for us to cut, but I think I want a dessert bar.

Cupcakes or donuts are fine in place of a wedding cake.
