Wedding Cake! 🍰

I'm not married yet - but I found a really cool idea on WW that I think we will do for our wedding! I'm thinking we will do a classic white cake. But we are going to have cakes as centerpieces at our tables (we are only having two very long "feast" style tables), so we will probably have a smaller cake with the center decor for every 8 or so people. I thought it was a super cute idea for a more intimate wedding!

We’re going naked icing with the top tier being tiramisu (my favorite), center is chocolate banana cream (FH’s favorite) and the bottom with some kind of yummy vanilla berry for a crowd pleaser option

I really wanted a square shape cause I thought it was more modern looking

Bottom tier has mango filling and top two tiers have strawberry filling. All white cake.

We’re doing cupcakes from a local Phillipino bakery because I love the variety of flavors. The cutting cake though, I have no idea what I want it to look like - some greenery maybe?

I'm half Filipino, so it makes my heart happy to hear you supporting that bakery! Cupcakes are a hit in my book for that exact reason. So many flavor choices!

A simple cake with greenery would look really nice among the cupcakes!

Not sure if we are doing cake, we might have the venue make a small one just for cake cutting purposes but no idea what flavor as my fiancé isn't a fan of cake.

Since we will not be serving cake our venue offers alternatives of pie bar or donut sundae bar, we will be having the donut sundae bar because who can say no to donuts and ice cream!

You could always have you both feed one another a donut, that way you don't have to pay for a cake to just cut (since you said your fiancé isn't a fan). But I think having a small one is still a good idea!

We actually had a variety of donuts baked by a local bakery! They were absolutely delicious and all of our guests LOVED how they could just go up and grab one (or 2 hahaha). My grandmother, who wanted to pay for the cake, really wanted my husband and I to have some sort of cake to cut...my husband and I couldn't have cared less to do this, but since my grandmother was paying for it, we decided to do it. We had a 5-in plain vanilla cake to cut.

Our venue makes their own apple cider donuts which are so yummy!! He's the one who actually wants a cake because its traditional and the tradition of eating the top tier on the first wedding anniversary lol! So we will probably do something like this!

We are doing a two tier red velvet cake (for us to cut and take home) and then assorted cupcakes for the guests. The way our cake looks will be a surprise because we did an all inclusive package.
