Wedding Cake! 🍰

Our wedding cake was vanilla with vanilla icing. We had five flavors to choose from. I don't like chocolate cake and I'm allergic to strawberries so that automatically eliminated two of the five options and we weren't a fan of the other two choices.

Nothing wrong with a classic vanilla cake! It's def. a crowd pleaser for sure! I like the details around the layers, it reminds me of the show "Bridgerton"!

We're not big cake people, but we both have a bit of Scandinavian heritage, so we're thinking to do a kransekake like the one below! It's made of stacked pastry rings, meaning there will be plenty of hollow space to fill with something unexpected, like chocolate truffles...

The first picture was my cake and the second photo is what it was suppose to look like (with a sunflower). Luckily they gave me a significant refund because while it was pretty it wasn’t what I wanted.

I'm glad that you got a refund! I would've been upset too if I didn't get the cake I asked for. If it came down to the baker not being able to do that design of icing, all they had to do was tell you!

View Quoted Comment I specifically asked about the design when we picked it out and have them the picture. No idea what happened but they took care of it. Thankfully the cake wasn’t super important to me.

Well I will say the cake you got is still beautiful, but it sucks that it wasn't what you were wanting!

My venue covers the cost of a basic wedding cake, we're going to do a smallish Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting (both mine and my FH's favorite)

Our venue also includes a venetian table for desert that is HUGE, with cheesecakes, chocolate covered strawberries, Italian pastry, tiramisu and loads of other yummy deserts, so we're going smaller on the cake since we'll have SO many desert options.

We are not having cake, but cupcakes instead.

Since we are doing destination wedding, I plan to order a simple one tiered white cake and put figurines on top of it.

We had a small wedding cake for us to cut and then an assortment of desserts for our guests. Our small cake was an almond semi-naked cake with raspberry filling (the best cake we've ever had!) And then we had churro cupcakes, small apple pies, and small pumpkin cheesecakes. Our guests loved it all!

I'm doing a really plain three tired naked cake from a really good local baker. It will have whipped frosting with barbarian cream filling. That's what we liked from the tasting. My guy loves carrot cake so that will be our grooms cake. If I could have anything it would a big crazy cake
