Wedding Cancelations due to corona virus ?

Stephanie, on March 13, 2020 at 7:13 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
I was just curious if anyone tried to cancel there wedding at there venues ? I wanted to know if anyone was able to cancel due to the virus ? I know some venues are strict about no refunds any one cancel successfully or where there penalties to move the date ? My wedding is in a couple weeks and I’m a bit freaking out as my guest count keeps lowering .

I reached out to my venue and they are willing to work with us if needed to reschedule. I don't think you can get your money back generally but rescheduling is definitely an option. Reach out to your venue and see what they say Smiley smile

Definitely reach out and see what they say. We were able to move our wedding to a different day this year with no penalty. I think a lot of vendors are open to working with you. We even got our photographer to move. So breathe. If you decide its for the best, take your time and see what the venue says. A lot of vendors would rather move your date then lose the guaranteed business.

Reach out in writing and ask for your options. Most venues (I’ve heard) have been very open and accommodating. Same with airlines and major hotel brands.
