Wedding Card Box Holder

Audrey, on January 14, 2016 at 1:32 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 17

Can anyone provide suggestions of where to purchase a wedding card box for not a ton of money? Before you suggest that I DIY it myself, I know my skills and that's just not something I want to do, nor do I really have the desire. I've searched the internet and I'm seeing boxes that are around $50. Ideally I'd like to have a box that's got navy blue on it.

There are some on Amazon that are pretty but more plain. Most run somewhere from $15-30. You could add a navy bow to them or ribbon.

I bought a decorative cardboard box at Michael's and cut a slit in the top. I think it was about $20.

@Patricia I looked on Etsy and only saw fairly expensive ones. Although I'm willing to admit I didn't look too hard at the site.

Under $20 faux suitcase from Homegoods, flowers and leaves from Michaels, and the sign came from Walmart.

Hobby Lobby also has a ton of options.

I'm using this from Ikea.. it's pretty neat and different. And it was only $20. I'm going to frame a little sign in front of it that says "cards".

Do you have a venue? I started touring venues and found out they have a few that we can use for the night. If not, I agree with Rosie. Try on fb site.

Do you have an idea of what you want?

We found ours while thrifting. It's a brand new lobster trap that we're diying.

I got a 12 dollar wooden box from Home Depot and put my own personalization on it. Cost about $20 total after all the parts were purchased.

I used a small decorative birdcage (was not concerned about theft so a lock was not even on my radar). I think it was about $15 on Amazon.

@Ninja, do you mind sharing the name of the Etsy store where you got your card box? It sounds like what we're looking for.

Try Facebook yard sale sites for wedding stuff (like the WW one). That's where I bought my card box, for $10!

I bought an $11 Martha Stewart plain white card box from Amazon, and a friend of my mom's used really cheap materials and about 20 minutes to jazz it up. The whole thing was less than $15 for sure.
