Wedding card box tips

marriedlady, on July 26, 2012 at 3:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

I want to start working on my wedding card box. Can anybody suggest what size boxes work best for this project?

I want to use square boxes rather than round.

Thanks for the help!

I don't think there's a particular size...just go to Michael's there you'll find the boxes and start building them up or however you want...That's what I did I was just staking one of top of the other one to see which one and how it looked the best..

I don't think there is really any limit to what you can use/do. Some people I've seen buckets, and suitcases. It's whatever fits your style or want. I went to JoAnnes and got one of their 3 packs of cardboard boxes and stacked them to make mine.

There is no particular size. I used boxs I had here at my house. Just put them on top of each other till I liked how it looked.

You can use any size boxes you want! As Summer said just stack boxes until you like the way it looks Smiley smile

Some suggest putting a brick in the bottom of the box so it is a little heavier than expected. Harder for it to "walk" out of the room.

If you put the slit for the cards on the top box, be sure that you cut big holes in the tops and bottoms of the other boxes big enough for the cards to fall all the way down to the bottom box. But not too big that the boxes don't support one another.

    @ Kayla ~ Very Pretty!

I ordered one from Etsy, which was beautiful and realized after that she used the flat rate shipping boxes from USPS... all perfect sized boxes from large to small.
