our venue has a vintage birdcage that people regularly use for cards - like this:

Ikea have some pretty reasonably priced lanterns that might work! These are all under $20 AUD, so I assume they'd be even less in US dollars:

Ikea also have this that lots of people have hacked to make into a card thing by sticking a vinyl sticker that says 'cards' on it - it's $25

They were both under 'decorative accessories'!

I used a bird cage that I got at the craft store - it wasn't crazy expensive and it makes some fun decor in our house

You could probably find some cool looking and not too expensive vintage birdcages or mailboxes on Facebook Marketplace.
