Wedding Ceremony Program??

Alexis , on July 9, 2018 at 9:40 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 14

I guess this is a multi-question discussion, but...

1) Who is doing ceremony programs? I feel like we should because we have a big wedding party and a lot of guests don't know one another and it would be a nice guide, but possibly a unnecessary expense

2) Does anyone know where to print them cheap at? I don't want to spend too much on them because most people will throw them away? Is there a way to just print them from a home computer?

My friends that had programs printed them at home- I think this was the best move because programs, like you said, aren't completely necessary. They just typed them up in Word, but Etsy has templates for everything, I'm sure they have something you could either purchase or use as a guide.

We're skipping them, but we're also having a very short ceremony. I personally would appreciate a program if you're having a longer church ceremony, so that I can follow along with the order of everything.

I just decided that instead of printing a bunch of programs that would end up on the trash I'm going to get a sign made from a seller on etsy. Here's what I'm considering getting made. Hope this helps. Best of luck with planning.

    1) We did ceremony programs because I'm a sentimental person and love holding onto other people's wedding programs. I also wanted to include information for after the ceremony and a thank you to the guests.

    2) I printed mine at home on 67 lb/147 gsm Bristol paper and cut them down the middle with an exacto knife. My printer handled the thicker paper totally fine.

Program front and back. We had a 4.25"x11" program front to back. Wedding Ceremony Program?? 2

Thank you! There are definitely tons of options on Etsy. And these are also something you can change information on or print extras of at the last minute.

We are doing them! It's for sure not necessary, but we budgeted for it and have a lot of time. We are getting a template off Etsy and printing at Costco on cardstock.

We are doing very minimal programs--I'm creating bookmarks on MS Word! One side will have our names with the wedding date and names/roles of those in the wedding party. Other side will list the events of the ceremony and have a brief thank-you to our parents. With this amount of info, I can print 4 bookmarks per sheet of paper. I'll be using cardstock, printing it at home, and adding a ribbon to the top for some color.

I was just thinking the same thing as far as programs! My concern is that we are having a priest do our ceremony at the outside wedding venue. I am not sure all my guess will know the responses so I feel I need to print some kind of script for them to follow.

At first I wanted to do programs but after going to a friend’s wedding and seeing programs being left on the floor and chairs I opted out. Plus, one of my husband’s groomsman was kicked out the day before so it was good that we didn’t have any made. If you do programs, yes the best idea is to do them from home.

I am doing them! I love programs and details so even though they've been deemed obsolete by most, we're having them. I bought a template for $10 off etsy and will either print them at home or have my mom print them at work (we will bring in the paper and we are allowed to do this).

I created our programs from a word doc and then had them printed at Staples. We had an Interfaith ceremony and I couldn't use the beautiful programs on inspo sites such as Etsy because ours was a multiple page booklet. My blog on how to create them (content and specs) can be found here if you're interested: A Bride's DIY Interfaith Wedding Program

There is a super cute templet on line that you can switch up to make it your own. Thinking of doing that for my daughter's wedding. Here's the link - http://themcbaileys.com/diy-wedding-programs-2/
