Wedding Ceremony/reception in Hatteras, nc

Cheyenne, on January 26, 2020 at 2:38 PM Posted in North Carolina Planning 0 3
Hello! I am looking at getting married in June of 2021. As a child my family always vacationed in Frisco of the outer banks. I would love to get married near there, but I am only finding venues for a ceremony and reception in Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills. I have been told these areas are generally more busy. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for venues in the Frisco area, if there are any?

Hi from a fellow OBX bride!

It's not technically Frisco, but I went to a wedding at the Koru Village Resort and Spa in Avon a few summers ago, and it was a great venue. The ceremony was on the beach, cocktail hour was around a pool/on the pool deck, and dinner/dancing/band were inside the reception space with drop-down sides, which came in handy during a surprise thunderstorm! Their site isn't up to date but looks like you can contact them at ********@***********.***.

Not sure what size wedding you're hoping to have, but you could also check out some rental homes to see if any are larger enough and permit a backyard wedding. Restaurants, particularly those on the water, might also a great option. I have also heard great things about the Inn at Pamlico that Clíodhna mentioned.

    Good luck!

My family vacations in the southern towns of OBX every year. Depending on the size of your wedding you could look into the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum in Hatteras Village or just rent a big honkin' beach house!
