SOS, Where can you find a cheap place to rent/buy gold charger plates!? My wedding will have about 130 guests and everywhere I look it costs around $10 PER CHARGER to rent! I don't understand why they are sold individually if they are usually needed for big events such as weddings. I really don't...

I don't understand why they are sold individually if they are usually needed for big events such as weddings. I really don't want to spend a lot on this, probably no more than $200 total. Is this even possible??

The question really is what do you plan on doing with 130 chargers after your wedding. I had the same debate for awhile before deciding to go with the $1 ones. A plate goes on top of it no matter the quality. A plate covers the majority. Yes of course everyone would like a better quality charger or more expensive one, but your guests will most likely not notice. It's about adding look to your table but whether you spend $5 per charger vs $1 it does the same job.

You can order from the Dollar Tree website. They sell items in bulk and delivery to your local store is free.

I rented mine for $.50 each that was for gold acrylic. Even the glass ones with gold beading were $2. $10 is just ridiculous. I'd shop around at other rental companies but if you want to buy them, Dollar Tree is your best bet.

Michael's craft store. They have them all the time for like $4.99 and a lot of times they are 50% off.

You can order them online or in the store.

    They almost always have gold.

I got black ones there for Halloween décor. Half off, and they are the same quality as the rentals. Plus you can sell after to recoup some of your cash.

Look and see if your local Michaels or Hobby Lobby has an overflow store nearby, I'm getting mine from an over flow wholesaler from hobby lobby at $1 each.

If you're in a urban areas they will probably have some at the restaurant supply store there and you can see if the quality is better than Micheals.

Charger rental around me is 1.50-2.00. Dollar tree has them online and in stores for 1.00 each. I can easily resell them after for .50 cents each. so that is the route we are going. There are a ton of local wedding resale FB pages and linen and charge plates are the #1 items to be bought.

Dollar tree... I bought 60 off facebook BST page for $25, and bought the extras I needed from Dollar tree for $1 each. I ordered a case of 24 and free pick up from store.
